What sets Cassleman’s aside from the rest of the pack is the sheer versatility of the venue. The stylish and somewhat swanky concrete bar is in plain sight upon walking in the door and is a great drinking bar, but it’s what you don’t see right away that has the real draw. Behind the bar looms a ten thousand square foot cavernous space with huge, vaulted, curved wood ceilings and enough space to fit nineteen hundred people. This room can, and does get changed around at the drop of a hat depending on the function. The bigger than average stage and the sound booth are the only things safe from being hauled away or moved at a moments notice. The sound on the venue side of Casselman’s should be enough to persuade even the most pessimistic musician to play there. Of course they host live music, but they also host comedy shows, their very own Action Sport industries night and host a plethora of conventions, parties and after parties.
