Currently looking for 3 Interns:
One, a New Media, Social Media, and PR/Tour Promo Interns. Whether that\'s one person 2 or three, those are my current needs. Hoping this person has a knack for fan relations too. Company, is a Record Label, Publishing Company and Artist Management. All hands on deck for developing one band, which will turn into several clients as the company grows.
Looking for someone who wants to work hard to develop a band and be a part of a new company with the exciting potential of being a part of something big.
Secondly, a PR/Tour Promo intern, Rather than just have us hand this person a task list, I\'m hoping this person will have a grasp on basic fundamentals of public relations and know the steps needed to take. Basics like: contacting media, at this level it\'s blogs, college radio, weeklys, any entertainment weeklys/papers and sometimes major newspapers. Press Release for fall tour already written. Some of this will be assessing who the voice is and determining the correct dialogue to have with the respective media. For example: for blogs we don\'t want to be too much of a voice... because they want to create the voice and opinion, the more casual approach at times is best, a short paragraph with simply music and a photo. Versus a major who wants the press release only with a follow up call on \"would you like a press kit?\"
Thirdly, a social Media intern: Strong knowledge of all social media platforms, current and new perhaps even un-launched. Just absolutely on top of this world. Basics would be staying on top of band\'s accounts, Facebook both profile and fan page, myspace, twitter, artist data, you tube, etc tying it all together. Updating with tour dates, photos, video. Ideally this person is good with images and video and can have the added task of collecting photos and video from the road, organizing them and working with the team on the best photos and upload them.. keeping all media organized. Handles fan mailing list, uploads and maintains a strong communication with building fans.
New Media: strong knowledge of new media and can easily create widgets and graphics for promotional and marketing purposes. The company started with myself, the singer of the band and the drummer and we have managed to create ALL graphics for everything. If this person is also somewhat a graphic artist, they would have a lot of fun with this.
These are all very involved and of course if this person(s) jumps in and contributes to the success of the band they would find themselves a full time job once I am in the position of hiring.
