A new international record label is looking for an A&R rep to cover the Brighton area
You should have your finger on the pulse on what's hot in the music scene in Brighton, be aware of all key music press titles and music venues in the area.
Your role will be to find the best unsigned talent that Brighton has to offer and convince them to sign with us.
Who were are: A very unique, innovative, independent music label that offers the biggest, broadest and most creative music promotion and distribution in the industry. We are very focused on success, and our priorities are our high standards of ethics, fair-play, and respect for the musician and their music.
Initially this is not a full time role, more something that can be done on the side, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and cultivate outstanding professional relationships with a variety of musicians and bands from your community.
* Seek out new opportunities to locate independent musicians
* Educate and inform the musicians that you deem appropriate about Expat Records, who we are, and how we are the very best option for an independent artist looking to further their career.
* Recruit a minimum of one artist or band per month to sign with Expat Records
* Keep highly detailed notes regarding with whom you are working and your activities in that regard.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years experience in working in a professional environment
* A LOVE of music and an interest in a career in the music industry
* A VERY high level of interpersonal skills, a very professional demeanor, and the ability to express yourself in a very intelligent and articulate manner
* Bachelor’s degree in music business or marketing preferred.
* Sales experience a plus
* Knowledge of music in a variety of music genres required.
The ideal candidate will be able to sell a product (Expat Records) by convincing others he or she is a credible source and that Expat Records matches the artist’s expectations for a promotion and distribution focused label. Therefore, the ideal candidate will think critically about how all the pieces of business connect and will leverage relationships to produced desired results. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication and relational skills.
1 band signed/month, 10% of profits; 2 bands, 20%; 3 or more, 30%
