We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and is VERY organized! Someone who loves music and is interested in learning about all aspects of the music industry. Applicant must have good communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
Skills:
Under the direction of our Retail Director, intern will be interacting with music buyers at record stores in retail chain by making them aware of new and upcoming releases, updating database contacts, and building relationships between the label and major/indie record stores. The role requires both partnership building and strong negotiation skills. Miscellaneous administrative duties including: answering phones, mailings, and short errand runs. Must be proficient in Word & Excel. ACT a plus.
You must be very comfortable talking with people over the phone. We would really like to find someone who is already involved, or who has been involved in music retail or the music industry. However, we encourage all to apply!
