Event and Lifestyle company seeks SOCIAL NETWORKING & MARKETING INTERNS. We are currently handling talent buying for a new Performance & Arts Space in Brooklyn. We've hosted a wide spectrum of events including indie rock, soul, hip-hop, jazz, electronic and reggae, as well as monthly art exhibits, literary events and film screenings. We are looking for a tech savvy intern who understands how to use and navigate sites like Facebook and Twitter and who understand the importance of social networking to the music industry. Intern responsibilities will include updating company website and posting confirmed events to message boards. Applicants should posses a strong passion for music and will conduct research into different on and off-line marketing outlets.
Skills:
-Highly adept at social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc).
-Exceptional organizational skills – detail oriented, keeps records of results, and tracks deadlines.
-Graphic Art & web design experience a plus
-MS Office experience, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
-Exceptional phone etiquette.
-Email blasts and correspondence for upcoming events.
-Intern will also serve as part of our street team for marketing events and distributing flyers.
College credit available.
Intern will be responsible for meeting at venue 1-2 times per week and will conduct the majority of the work from your home.
This will start as an unpaid internship with the opportunity to grow with one of Brooklyn’s premiere music venues and lifestyle/marketing groups. Metrocards, free entry to events and other perks will be provided.
